XAT Exam is conducted by XLRI on All India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. XLRI's long experience and the expertise has helped to extend this test to other Management Institutes. There are 60 other Management Institutes who are selecting students from XAT 2009.

XAT exam is conducted once a year in January. The admission criteria for admission through XAT is a bachelors degree under 10+2+3 system recognized by a university or a deemed university.
