Sorry..guys by mistake i took the side DE 4 and ended with a wrong answer.

It will be 1/2(3+6)*4 = 18 cm2

i.e option (1)

From the figure 
 
GN = GP
DP = DM  which is equal to 1 (DE - rad of circle)
 
Now say GN =GP = x
 
Drop a perpendicular from D on to GF  say the point as A.
 
AN =1.
 
From the rt angled triangle GDA
 
GD2 =  DA2+ GA2
 
(GP+PD)2 = 42+ (GN-AN)2
 
(x+1)2 = 16 + (x-1)2 
 
solving which x = 4 
 
GA = 4 -1 =3 
 
Now area of trapezium  , ar(rectangle DEFA) + ar(triangle  GDA)  = (4*3)+(1/2*4*3 ) = 18
