what is the no. of zeros at the end of 1000!?...
Take Mock CAT exams as much as possible before exam...

Hi!!
my strategy for taking the cat exam, is ,
I gor for quant (solve abt 30-40% of sums)
then i go for DI(again same, abt 30-40% of sums)
n atlast verbal
bt by the tym I reach verbal, i get drained even if ppr is simple.
I have solved many papers, so its nt lack of practice, bt may be i m nt intrstd in verbal part.....
n if I go for Verbal first, then i constantly creates fear in my mind of loosing tym, n again i cnnt solve verbal.
so which strategy shud i follow!!??
how will u check out , which section is easier......if u do this by overviewing some questions in each section....ur 10 min will go in vain......
PLEASE MAKE LINES ON YOUR ROUGH PAPER..
IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER IN WHICH CHRONOLOGY DO YOU ANSWER THE QUESTIONS BUT WHICHEVER SECTION YOU CHOOSE YOU SHOULD FIRST GO THROUGH ALL THE QUESTIONS OF THAT RESPECTIVE SECTION. AND THEN START SOLVING THE MOST DIFFICULT 1ST WHICH WILL MAKE THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS EASIER

Being computer adaptive,, wont it be difficult to go through entire paper, n then start answering it,, dat 2 in 2 hrs in 15 min!!
is it suggested , to press review button , click next button, n then decide which sum is to b opted!!!???
I generally face problems clearing the quant cut off's. So I will be devoting most of time to that section.
My game plan is like follows:-
0-45 Mins - Quant - Attempt at least 11 questions
45-70/75 Mins - Verbal - Attempt as many as possible. I generally score really well in this section.
75-115/120 - DI - Attempt 12/13 question to ensure a good score.
120-end - Back to quant. A quick revision of the attempted questions plus try to get 2/3 more done, if time permits.
I suggest attempting Verbal in between Quant & LRDI as it provides a break from number crunching and calculations and your mind relaxes a bit. I mean for VA you put down your paper and pen and just focus on the screen before you. Ain't that easy?
You guys can also develop your strategy depending upon your weak/strong areas. See you in Ahemdabad !
hello karan.....
i am not able to clear the verbal cutoff....give me some tips on this and what can be done in the remaining days to improve the same...
thanks in advance
i wud luv to attempt verbal 1st as i score above 90percentile usually.... so dat it helps buildin mah confidence, den wud go for quant..and gv more tym to it attempt around 12 questions wid accuracy n den lastly di,choose for easier ones and attempt three of them wid accurary..................
